You really know it is time for the holiday season when the decorations go up on the light poles and the long-time New Rochelle Thanksgiving Parade kicks off this Saturday Nov 18 at 10am.

The 59-year old parade produced by the City and the Chamber will begin on North Avenue at Eastchester Road near New Rochelle HS (rain or shine) and move all the way on North Avenue through Downtown to Bonnefoy Place. The viewing stand will be in the Anderson Plaza area.

New Ro Downtown will be well represented starting off with the lead car from Audi New Rochelle that will carry Parade Grand Marshall Minister Mark McLean along the route.

You will see many bands including the talented Marching Band from Monroe College. Downtown’s Dance Studios New Beginnings Dance Studio, Rooftop Rhythms and Dance Connection will be represented and strutting their stuff.

Our New Rochelle Fire Department UFFA Local 273 will be celebrating their Centennial year as is the Chamber. Do watch for the Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Balloon which debuted last year and is sponsored by the NewRoDowntown BID.

It is all a lot of fun, Community spirit and of course with a some holiday cheer from…Santa!  (Who might just spend some of his year living in Downtown…but shhhhh don’t tell the Post Office!)

See you this weekend!
