The classic wavy, fun-to-slurp Japanese noodles meet the Caribbean in jerk chicken ramen with a broth that packs a punch, and the house special, oxtail ramen. Traditional Japanese versions are also served, as are donburi, or rice bowls, with vegetables, braised pork belly or grilled chicken. The idea comes from owner Wayne Carrington, a retired police officer, who combined his Trinidadian background with the Asian specialty. Desserts include green tea ice cream and ice cream nuggets wrapped in chewy mochi. Vegetarian, organic and gluten-free entrees are available. Sake and beer served, too. Like what you’re eating? Ding the bell at the table and hear the staff cheer in unison, “Thank you!”
